Founded in August 2021, by Angolans Laura Leal and João Boavida, both art lovers focused on creating a positive impact, Afrikanizm Art Platform is the first Angolan start-up focused on theonline promotion and sale of art by artists of African descent, living in Africa or in the diaspora, to whom the platform refers as ‘Afrikanizts’. Created with the aim of contributing towards contemporary African art being recognised and valued, giving voice and opportunities to the artists, the start-up focuses on promoting and continuing the development of the fine arts in an increasingly digital world, and already has a base of 30 artists.
